Dedicated to cinema pioneers Auguste and Louis Lumière, this museum occupies the family's opulent Art Nouveau villa in Lyon's Monplaisir quarter. Inside, visitors discover the revolutionary 1895 Cinématographe, rare early color photographs (autochromes), and optical devices that gave birth to the motion picture.
