A 17th-century military fortress perched atop Montjuïc hill at 173 metres above sea level. It offers sweeping 360-degree panoramic views of Barcelona, the bustling port, and the Mediterranean Sea. Built as a defensive stronghold and later used as a military prison, the site now houses museum exhibits, massive battlements with cannons, and a landscaped moat. Admission is free on Sundays after 3:00 PM.
