The world's largest collection of René Magritte: around 230 paintings and gouaches plus letters, photographs and his early advertising work. Opened in 2009 in a neoclassical mansion on Place Royale beside the Royal Museums of Fine Arts, it traces his whole evolution, from bowler-hatted men to painted words. The galleries are densely hung, so an hour covers a lifetime of surrealism.
