A park on the site of the legendary Kowloon Walled City, the lawless high-rise slum demolished in 1994. The following year a classical Chinese garden in Jiangnan style opened here: ponds, pavilions, bonsai and a zodiac garden. Genuine relics survive — the 1847 yamen building, the remains of the old South Gate and cannons. A small exhibit tells the story of the 'city of darkness', though today's quiet paths give little hint of its dense past.
