Jonction

La Jonction, one of the most beloved summer spots in Geneva, is the place where the deep blue tones of the slow-flowing Rhône River mix with the milky-brown tones of the fast-flowing Arve River in a picturesque way. Take the tram to La Jonction, then head up to the bridge to enjoy stunning views. In the warmer months, locals gather at the confluence of the two rivers to drink, have picnics and barbecues, and swim. They come from different places, having neither the same color nor the same speed. The Arve and the Rhône are two rivers that are unlike each other, but they merge in Geneva to become one.
