A tiny convent on a narrow causeway at Cape Kanoni, one of Corfu's most recognizable scenes: whitewashed walls, red tiles and a bell tower among cypress trees. Across the water lies the islet of Pontikonisi, the famous Mouse Island. Planes pass directly overhead on final approach to the airport, drawing photographers every day. Inside works a small church of Panagia with icons; the spot is especially pretty at sunset.
