Founded in 1010 by Emperor Ly Thai To, this UNESCO World Heritage complex served as the political and military hub of Vietnam for eight centuries. Located in central Hanoi, the historic site features the grand Doan Mon South Gate, the carved stone dragon stairs of Kinh Thien Palace, and the iconic Hanoi Flag Tower. Visitors can also explore underground bunker D67, where North Vietnamese commanders directed strategies during the war.
