The architectural symbol of Sarajevo and a masterpiece of Pseudo-Moorish style, completed in 1896 during Austro-Hungarian rule. Located on the banks of the Miljacka River, the City Hall was devastated during the 1992 siege when the National Library within lost millions of rare books. Lovingly restored and reopened in 2014, it enchants visitors with its stained-glass central atrium, grand arches, and historical exhibitions.
