Remodelled in 1617 by merchant Thomas Gledstanes, it features a stone arcade and finely preserved Renaissance painted wooden ceilings. Run by the National Trust for Scotland, its restored rooms illustrate three centuries of Old Town life, complete with an artisan ice cream parlour.
