A Renaissance garden from the late 16th century on a hillside opposite the Roman theatre, among the most elegant in Italy. An avenue of tall cypresses climbs to an upper terrace with a panorama of tiled roofs, past a boxwood labyrinth, a grotto and fountains. Goethe and Mozart loved this garden, and recent restoration has revived its historic parterres. The ticket also covers the museum rooms of the Giusti palace.
