The museum of Romania's greatest composer occupies the Cantacuzino Palace on Calea Victoriei, an elegant early 1900s mansion by architect Ion D. Berindey and one of the city's showpiece buildings. Its holdings include manuscripts, letters, pianos and posters tied to the composer of the Romanian Rhapsodies and to the festival named after him. Note: the palace is closed for restoration — check before visiting whether branches are open.
