The only museum in Greece dedicated exclusively to Asian art, housed in the imposing neoclassical Palace of St. Michael and St. George on Spianada Square in Corfu Town. Founded in 1927 around the diplomatic collection of Gregorios Manos, the museum displays over 15,000 treasures. Exhibits include ancient Chinese bronzes and ceramics, Japanese samurai armour and ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and rare Gandharan sculptures.
