The Church of Saint Ildefonso is an 18th-century baroque church near Batalha Square in central Porto. Twin bell towers and a curving pediment crown the saint's figure, and the facade is covered in blue-and-white azulejo tiles from 1932 after drawings by Jorge Colaco — scenes from his life and allegories of virtue. Inside is a broad nave with side altars and an organ. The church is active and free to enter.
