The Centre for the History of the Resistance and Deportation occupies the former military medical school in Lyon, requisitioned by Klaus Barbie’s Gestapo during World War II. The permanent exhibition documents clandestine printing presses, intelligence networks, and Jean Moulin's efforts to unite the French Resistance. A moving section is dedicated to Nazi deportations, featuring archival footage from the historic Barbie trial.
