The seat of the Archbishop and Primate of the Gauls, situated in the heart of Old Lyon at the foot of Fourvière hill. Constructed between the 12th and 15th centuries, it beautifully reflects the architectural transition from Romanesque apses to flamboyant Gothic naves. The cathedral is renowned for its 14th-century astronomical clock with automated figures and was the setting for the 1600 wedding of King Henri IV and Marie de' Medici.
