A colossal five-storey underground nuclear shelter built into Mount Dajti on Tirana's outskirts in the 1970s for communist dictator Enver Hoxha. Spanning nearly 3,000 square metres across 106 rooms, the subterranean complex includes Hoxha's private quarters and a massive assembly hall. Reopened as a museum, it offers a chilling look into Albania's isolationist regime, secret police apparatus, and Cold War paranoia.
