Beach

Marseille has many beaches, including the central Plages beach, which encompasses many smaller ones (an intentional pun, I can't help myself). Plage des Catalans is located on the far western side, near the Vallon des Auffes, while La Pointe Rouge is in the east, near the Calanques. If you enjoy outdoor activities in nature, I also recommend a trip to the nearby Calanques National Park. During your vacation in Marseille, you'll most likely want to enjoy the sea a little!
