One of Venice's grandest churches, built by the Dominicans in Italian Gothic brick between the 14th and 15th centuries. Known as the 'Pantheon of Venice', it serves as the resting place of 25 Venetian doges in magnificent Renaissance tombs. The vast interior features paintings by Giovanni Bellini, Paolo Veronese, and Cima da Conegliano, while Verrocchio's bronze equestrian statue of Colleoni commands the square outside.
