The famous seaside boulevard of Havana stretches for about seven kilometers from Havana Vieja to Vedado and the Plaza district. Above the boulevard stands a colorful collection of well-preserved 20th-century buildings in a mix of architectural styles, from art deco to neo-Moorish. In the golden light of the setting sun, they make a beautiful photograph. The Malecón is an 8-kilometer seawall and esplanade of Havana, running along the entire length of the city. This alone makes it an ideal viewing point, not only for the magnificent sea views but also for many of the city's sights. It is a popular strolling spot for locals, and you will see plenty of fishermen catching dinner.
