St. Johann Nepomuk — a jewel of south German Rococo built by the brothers Egid Quirin and Cosmas Damian Asam in 1733–1746 as a private chapel next to their house. The gilded altar, Trinity sculpture, convex walls and light falling from a single window create an almost operatic staging. Damaged in 1944, the interiors were carefully restored; entry is free.
