St Stephen's Cathedral — the symbol of Austria, built from the 12th to the 16th century: a roof of 230,000 tiles laid in a mosaic pattern with the double eagle, and a south tower 136 metres tall. Mozart married here and his funeral was held here. Inside are gothic altars and catacombs; the tower climb is 343 steps.
