A baroque church in Christianshavn, consecrated in 1696, with Copenhagen's most recognisable silhouette — an external spiral staircase winding up the tower. The summit takes 400 steps, the last 150 in the open air beside the golden globe and the figure of Christ, with the old town and harbour spread below. Inside is a bright baroque hall with a carved altar. One ticket covers church and tower; the tower closes in January and high winds.
