Situated in the historic Born district, this bustling market was founded in 1845 and transformed in 2005 by architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. Its defining feature is an undulating roof clad in over 300,000 vivid ceramic hexagonal tiles inspired by market produce. Inside, lively stalls offer Mediterranean seafood, cured Iberian ham, artisan cheeses, and tapas, while the basement preserves excavated medieval ruins.
