Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi

Sight4.6 · 7 3124.2 · 710≈ 28 minFree entry270 m from the center

A Gothic church of the 14th–15th centuries in the very heart of the Barri Gòtic, rising over Plaça del Pi. Its treasure is a huge stained-glass rose window about 10 metres across — one of the largest in the world, reassembled after the destruction of 1936. Inside is a wide, sombre nave with massive columns; craft workshops and cafés surround the church, and morning markets still fill the square.
