One of the oldest public parks in Europe, laid out in the 1770s on the Danube bank in Bratislava's Petralka district. Since the mid-19th century it has borne the name of poet Janko Kral, whose monument stands by the waterfront. Century-old plane trees, a boat rental, a neo-Gothic pavilion with a small tower and waterside paths face the Old Town and castle. In summer it is a shady escape for walks and picnics.
