Greece's first museum collection of contemporary art took shape in 1979, when artists across the country donated works to Thessaloniki in solidarity after the devastating 1978 earthquake. Now part of the MOMus group on the International Fair grounds, it shows painting, prints and installations by Greek and international artists of the 20th and 21st centuries, with rotating exhibitions and family programmes.
