A small mosque of the 1560s by the great architect Sinan, built for Grand Vizier Rüstem Pasha, husband of Süleyman the Magnificent's daughter. The prayer hall sits on a vaulted podium above shops near the Spice Bazaar. Inside is one of the richest ensembles of Iznik tiles anywhere — tulips, carnations and grapes running in an unbroken carpet up to the dome — which has earned it the title of an Istanbul gem.
