Southeast Asia's largest museum of Islamic art, opened in 1998 beside the Lake Gardens. Over seven thousand objects: illuminated Qurans, miniatures, textiles, carpets, metalwork and architectural models — including replicas of the Taj Mahal and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. Twelve galleries on two floors under glass domes, plus a Middle Eastern restaurant and a good museum shop.
