Cours Julien

Sight4.4 · 58≈ 20 min

Coming down from Notre-Dame de la Garde back into the bustle of the city, you'll encounter a multicultural atmosphere between the Old Port, the shops behind it, and Cours Julien. On one hand, you have upscale shopping streets; on the other, the narrow, sometimes dirty alleys of the Noailles district. In 2018, the district made international headlines due to the tragic collapse of dilapidated residential buildings. Cours Julien is known as Marseille's street art district, but it's much more than that! The vibrant square and streets are filled with great bars, restaurants, and musicians. It's lively, creative, and cool, and the perfect place to spend your day on a terrace.
