A legendary hole-in-the-wall bar in Lisbon's Largo de São Domingos near Rossio, serving patrons since 1840. Founded by Galician friar Francisco Espinheira, it was the first commercial establishment in the capital to sell ginjinha, Portugal's traditional sour cherry liqueur infused with aguardente and spices. Visitors drink standing on the street, choosing their quick ruby shot 'com elas' (with cherries) or 'sem elas' (without).
