Jaipur's enchanting 18th-century "Water Palace", appearing to float serenely on the mirrored waters of Man Sagar Lake against the backdrop of the Aravalli Hills. Built from pink sandstone by Maharaja Madho Singh I, it showcases a graceful fusion of Rajput and Mughal palace architecture. Four of its five storeys submerge when lake levels rise. While the interior is closed to visitors, the promenade view is legendary.

Highlights

  • Unique floating palace architecture with four submerged storeys
