Opened in 1877 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, Jaipur Zoo is the oldest zoological park in Rajasthan, situated inside the historic Ram Niwas Gardens near the Albert Hall Museum. Divided into two main sections across the park road—one for mammals and another for birds and reptiles—the zoo is home to leopards, tigers, spotted deer, and rare gharial crocodiles, offering a shaded wildlife retreat amidst Victorian-era landscaping.
