An elegant early neoclassical palace gracing the Tiergarten district on the scenic banks of the Spree River. Commissioned in 1786 for Prince August Ferdinand of Prussia and designed by architect Michael Philipp Boumann, Bellevue Palace has served as the primary official residence of Germany's Federal President since 1994. While the interior is reserved for state affairs, the exterior and park are freely enjoyed.
