An interactive science museum at Pier 15, founded in 1969 by physicist Frank Oppenheimer, brother of Robert Oppenheimer. More than 650 exhibits invite touching: optical illusions, a giant wave generator, a fog bridge and a room-sized rainbow. Adults-only After Dark evenings run every Thursday with bars and talks, and the pitch-dark Tactile Dome needs a separate ticket.
