Bordeaux's museum of contemporary art occupies the Entrepôt Lainé, an 1824 warehouse with cast-iron columns once used to store colonial goods. It opened as a museum in 1974 and hosted early shows by Anselm Kiefer and Daniel Buren. Inside you'll find a rotunda with seven galleries plus large halls for temporary exhibitions; there is a café and a bookshop on site.
