A historic hillside park covering 47 hectares along the European shore of the Bosphorus in the Sarıyer district. Emirgan is world-famous as the main venue of Istanbul's Tulip Festival each April, when millions of blooms form colourful mosaic carpets. Shaded paths wind past streams, fountains, and three restored 19th-century Ottoman pavilions — Yellow, Pink, and White. Admission to the park grounds is free year-round.
