The Bulgarian Ministry of Defence museum moved in 2024 to a new complex on Cherkovna Street. Indoors you will find weapons, uniforms and medals ranging from ancient Thracians to the Balkan Wars and World War II; outdoors rows of tanks, aircraft and artillery stand in the open. Separate sections cover the 1878 liberation and Bulgaria's 20th-century wars. It rarely gets crowded and works well with kids.
