Henry Huntington's estate in San Marino combines a library of rarities, an art museum and botanical gardens. The gallery hangs Gainsborough's The Blue Boy and Lawrence's Pinkie; the library holds a Gutenberg Bible and Audubon's Birds of America. Around them spread themed gardens — Japanese, Chinese and a vast desert cactus collection. Timed-entry tickets are required.
