Founded in 1886 by Mary F. Scranton, Ewha is South Korea's first women's university and a global educational leader. Its campus presents a striking dialogue between heritage neo-Gothic stone buildings and daring contemporary design. The centerpiece is the Ewha Campus Complex (ECC) by Dominique Perrault: a subterranean glass-and-steel "valley" sliced directly into the sloping hill, topped with an expansive green roof garden.

Highlights

  • Futuristic ECC canyon designed by Dominique Perrault
  • Historic neo-Gothic granite campus halls
  • Expansive landscaped rooftop garden
