Sibelius Park

Park4.4 · 6 0834 · 1 683≈ 32 minFree entry

Sibelius Park in the Toolo district is known for the monument to Finland's great composer: over six hundred welded steel pipes like organ pipes, created by sculptor Eila Hiltunen in 1967. The abstract work sparked debate, and Sibelius's face was later added beside it. The park stretches along the bay shore with views towards Seurasaari island; locals picnic here and summer concerts are held by the monument. Entry is free around the clock.
