Museum4.6 · 8 8984.5 · 966≈ 1 hEntry: ~70 RON

The residence of Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu in the Primaverii district is the only private home of Romania's dictators opened to visitors. The interiors of the 1960s-80s survive almost untouched, as if the owners had just stepped out. A guided tour leads through the bedrooms, Elena's fur salon, gilded bathrooms and gifts from foreign delegations. Visits are by guided tour only, and it is best to book ahead.
