A striking museum of contemporary art perched on an artificial peninsula in the Danube River, 15 kilometres south of Bratislava. Founded in 2000 by Dutch collector Gerard Meulensteen, its sleek building evokes a Roman galley stranded in the water. An open-air sculpture park surrounds the museum, while panoramic galleries and walkable roof decks present visionary works by leading Slovak and international artists.
