Stretching for nearly a kilometre, it is packed with music clubs, cabaret theatres, neon-lit bars, and legendary music venues. In the early 1960s, the Beatles launched their international career playing residency gigs in adjoining clubs along Große Freiheit, commemorated today at Beatles-Platz.
