Located in Tao Dan Park in District 1, the Golden Dragon Water Puppet Theater showcases an ancient Vietnamese art form originating in the Red River Delta in the 11th century. Behind a bamboo screen, puppeteers stand waist-deep in water, skillfully manipulating lacquered wooden puppets on long rods. Accompanied by a live folk orchestra, the 50-minute shows depict folklore, rural harvest scenes, and dragon dances.
