An atmospheric Chinese temple in the Cholon district, built around 1760 by Saigon's Cantonese immigrant community. The pagoda is dedicated to Mazu, the Chinese sea goddess revered by merchants and seafaring travelers. Its roof is adorned with intricate ceramic dioramas illustrating Cantonese folk tales, while the courtyard interiors are filled with fragrant smoke from giant spiral incense coils bearing prayers.
