The only Burmese Buddhist temple in Penang and the oldest in Malaysia, founded in 1803 in the heritage district of Pulau Tikus. The complex stands out with its tiered golden roofs (pyatthat), ornate teakwood carvings, and an ancient sacred wishing well dating back to the temple's origins. Inside, visitors encounter colossal marble Buddha statues, vivid murals recounting Buddhist teachings, and a soaring Golden Pagoda Bell Tower.
