A cultural centre on La Cartuja island housed in the Peru Pavilion of the 1929 world fair, which architect Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra wrapped in sweeping steel forms. Inside are a dramatic atrium, rotating art exhibitions, film screenings, concerts and lectures, with a terrace overlooking the Guadalquivir. The programme changes monthly, and the building is beautifully lit after dark.
