Spanning the scenic southern slopes of Rožnik Hill within Tivoli Nature Park, Ljubljana Zoo offers a tranquil wildlife experience immersed in natural Slovenian woodland. Established in 1949, the zoo integrates expansive open-air enclosures directly into pine and beech forests laced with meadows and streams. Around 500 animals of over 100 species reside here, including native brown bears, wolves, Alpine ibex, cheetahs, and Asian elephants.
