The beach at the northern end of Marine Drive, at the foot of Malabar Hill. At sunset families eat bhelpuri from street carts, ride festival ferris wheels and watch the sun sink behind Worli, the sea link bridge silhouetted in the distance. During Ganesh Chaturthi processions carry idols of Ganesha into the waves here — the city's grandest spectacle of the year. In the mornings the sand belongs to joggers and games of cricket.
