A tiny forest park on the bank of the Pasig River next to the restored Metropolitan Theatre — known as 'the last lung of Manila'. Within its couple of hectares dozens of tree species grow, and birds call from the canopy, a rare sound in the stone city centre. Environmentalists and volunteers saved the park from development; now it offers shade, quiet and fresh air between the river and Liwasang Bonifacio.
